Los Cabos Receives Travel Safety Stamp from The World Travel & Tourism Council
Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, is the first destination on the Pacific to receive the Travel Safety Stamp granted by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC). The stamp is bestowed among destinations that have adopted a high standard of hygiene in establishments and are taking strong measures to protect travelers’ health.
The Travel Safety Stamp and hygiene protocols issued by the WTTC are based on international standards and are supported by the World Tourism Organization. This distinction is designed to provide travelers with confidence when it comes to hygiene and sanitation measures among establishments and businesses operating within the tourism sector, such as hotels, restaurants, establishments, airlines, airports and cruises, etc.
Baja California Sur has complied with all safety protocols issued by the World Travel and Tourism Council – drawn up with the guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), in close collaboration with the International Association of Air Transport (IATA), the International Council of Airports (ACI) and the International Association of Cruise Lines (CLIA).
