San Jose Beaches and Beyond

The quiet cobblestone streets surrounding Hotel Casa Natalia are our idea of perfection. While our guests love wandering San Jose del Cabo’s historic center, there is a lot to explore beyond the border of San Jose. For many visitors, a trip to Los Cabos is never complete without at least one visit to our region’s spectacular beaches. Lucky for them, Casa Natalia is just a short drive from some of Mexico’s most beautiful beaches.

Here are a few of our favorite sandy escapes near San Jose del Cabo:

Santa Maria

Playa Santa Maria is a popular stop for snorkeling tours and a peaceful break for Cabo beach goers. Protected by rocks jetties on each side, Santa Maria offers a particularly calm beach break. Maria also features shade palapas for those who want a break from the Mexican sun.

Chileno Bay

Chileno has long been a favorite water destination for locals and visitors alike. Chileno, Los Cabos’ first Blue Flag Beach, is perfect for families, water activities and relaxation. The bay is perfectly protected from strong currents and big waves, making it optimal for snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding and even fishing. Chileno Beach also features a fun tide pool that everyone can enjoy.

Medano Beach

The furthest of the three beaches we’ve listed here today, Medano Beach is the epicenter of water activities. The heart of San Jose del Cabo life, Medano is THE place for jet skiing, paddle boarding, water tours, parasailing and so much more! Water taxis to Lover’s Beach are available from Medano Beach and the Cabo Marina.
