San Jose Dining

One of the joys of visiting Los Cabos, Mexico is the opportunity to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. Guests of Casa Natalia have no shortage of delicious restaurant choices just steps from the hotel in downtown San Jose. In addition to the on-site restaurants, Mi Cocina and Baja Oyster Bar, here is a short list of recommended San Jose del Cabo dining experiences. For more information on Cabo restaurants, speak with your Hotel Casa Natalia concierge.

Around the Corner

From quick lunches to memorable dinners, Casa Natalia's prime location lends itself to ideal dining options. Located just a few minutes walk from your room are:

Tequila Restaurant

There is more than meets the eye at this beautiful Cabo restaurant. What appears to be just a small storefront opens into a romantic courtyard restaurant. Tequila offers a menu that "consists of the finest and freshest seafood, beef and poultry. Vegetables are locally grown on organic farms. The variety of dishes show an innovative blend of Mediterranean, Asian and Mexican influences that delight the palate."

La Lupita Taco & Mezcal

Relatively new to the San Jose del Cabo restaurant scene is the delicious La Lupita. A few minutes away by foot, this colorful taco-centric restaurant features indoor and outdoor seating, live music and a wide-range of Mexican spirits. The bright decor draws you in, but the delicious tacos will keep you coming back! La Lupita dishes up everything from pork to fish, scallops, chicken, prawns and mushrooms and nopales (aka cactus tacos)! For a full list of San Jose del Cabo restaurants, visit the front desk at Hotel Casa Natalia.

It's Nearby

Just outside of downtown there are a number of amazing San Jose del Cabo restaurants including two beautiful organic farms that have garnered plenty of local and international attention. Visitors searching for a Cabo farm-to-table meal, look no further.

Flora Farms

This little oasis in the desert combines a restaurant, bar, farm and more. It’s also the place Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo got married. Flora Farms is lush, green and quiet, and amazingly peaceful. While we didn’t have a full meal, we certainly enjoyed a few signature cocktails. Focusing on fresh fruits and organic produce, Flora Farms creates unique concoctions that stray from traditional Mexican fare. Serving only what they grow and raise, specialties include an heirloom carrot “Farmarita” and dishes like Flora Farms veggie chips, rosemary ham and egg pizza, and tuna fillet with almond cous cous. Enjoy your meal al fresco surrounded by the farm’s gardens.

Huerta Los Tamarindos

The Organic Restaurant at Huerta Los Tamarindos is located just a mile from Hotel Casa Natalia. The organic farm originally cultivated sugar cane, but today it supplies the Huerta Los Tamarindos restaurant, as well as producing herbs and vegetables for the area's finest restaurants. The restaurant sits on a hill above the farm and offers daily meal service and cooking classes where students can enjoy hands on instructions from resident chefs. And, of course, Huerta Los Tamarindos cooking classes are followed by a meal comprised of the fruits of your labor.

Worth the Drive

When you're looking for a change of scenery or need a place to refuel during your trip to San Jose del Cabo's sister city, these are a few great Cabo San Lucas restaurants to try:

Tequila Restaurant

There is more than meets the eye at this beautiful Cabo restaurant. What appears to be just a small storefront opens into a romantic courtyard restaurant. Tequila offers a menu that "consists of the finest and freshest seafood, beef and poultry. Vegetables are locally grown on organic farms. Hacienda Cocina y Cantina

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina on Medano Beach merges traditional Mexican architecture with casual beachfront dining. According to the Hacienda website, "Hacienda's menu showcases the different regions and flavors of Mexico through expertly crafted authentic dishes using only the finest local ingredients. In Mexico, the word "casero" means "homemade," the type of food that is served in households all over Mexico, dishes that nourish your body and feed your soul- this is the style of cooking that best represents Hacienda Cocina y Cantina."

Mi Casa Cabo San Lucas

Mi Casa has been a staple of the Cabo San Lucas dining scene for over 20 years. Located just a few blocks from the Cabo marina, Mi Casa Cabo offers authentic Mexican fare in a setting that harkens back to Old Mexico.
